Robert Florez has been designing luxury custom homes since the 1980’s. Originally based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Rob and his brother, Mike started their company, Florez and Florez Design Firm in pursuit of designing homes that capture the aesthetic of coastal living. Rob now resides in the coastal town of St. Augustine Beach, Florida where he continues to design homes that appeal to the laid back, island way-of-life that he has enjoyed for himself and his family for the greater part of 30 years. Rob and his wife, have raised three children in both of these beach towns and are happy to now call St. Augustine home for themselves, three grown children and their granddaughter.  Rob is an artist and a family man that aspires to share the dream of coastal living with his clients, in a home that reflects all of the perks of living near the water.

The North Carolina Years : 1980-2000

Rob’s years on the Outer Banks of North Carolina is where he fell in love with architecture, drafting, and designing homes. After receiving a job at the firm where his brother, Mike was working at in Virginia Beach, the two of them decided to leave this opportunity for their own; This, is when Florez and Florez Design Firm was born. From then on, Rob honed in his craft and with the help of his brother, designed more than 500 homes. With a portfolio filled with luxury coastal homes under his belt, Rob and his family decided to relocate to another coastal town, St. Augustine Beach, FL.

The St. Augustine Years : 2000 - Present

Rob’s years in St. Augustine are far from over. Viewed as one of the most accomplished designer by his community, Rob is proud of the footprint he has already left on this beach town. Rob has 300 designs on the first coast, many in which adorn the covers of prestigious home magazines and have million dollar views. With dozens of projects in the works, Rob continues to spend his free time drawing and dreaming of your next home.
